Application and Effect
3,4,5,6-Tetrabromophenolsulfonephthalein (TBPSPT) is a dye compound that is used as an indicator in analytical chemistry. Its effect and application are mainly related to its color change properties. TBPSPT is often used as an acid-base indicator due to its ability to change color depending on the pH of the solution. It is typically red at low pH (acidic conditions) and yellow at high pH (basic conditions). This color change can be useful in various applications, such as titrations and pH determinations, where the endpoint of a reaction or the acidity/alkalinity of a solution needs to be determined. Additionally, TBPSPT has been used in environmental monitoring studies, particularly for the detection of reactive oxygen species (ROS). When exposed to ROS, such as hydroxyl radicals or singlet oxygen, TBPSPT undergoes a color change, providing a visual indication of the presence of these reactive species.Product Packing:
