Application and Effect
BCIP-Toluidine (5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolylphosphate-p-toluidine salt) is a substrate used in molecular biology techniques to detect the presence of alkaline phosphatase activity. When used as a substrate, BCIP-Toluidine undergoes a color change reaction upon cleavage by alkaline phosphatase, resulting in the formation of a blue-purple precipitate. This color change allows researchers to visually detect and quantify alkaline phosphatase activity in various types of assays. The main application of BCIP-Toluidine is in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and immunohistochemical staining techniques. It is often used to detect alkaline phosphatase-conjugated antibodies or alkaline phosphatase-labeled probes in these assays. BCIP-Toluidine is commonly utilized in molecular biology research for visualizing and quantifying gene expression, protein localization, and enzyme activity.Product Packing:
