Flavin-adenine Dinucleotide Disodium Salt CAS:84366-81-4

Flavin-adenine Dinucleotide Disodium Salt is an adenine-containing enzymatic redox cofactor. Also known as flavin cofactors and is critical electron transporter in living systems. FAD has been used as a predominant fluorophore to study unstained eosinophils, which exhibit autofluorescence compared to other leucocytes.

Application and Effect

Flavin-adenine Dinucleotide Disodium Salt is mainly used as an redox cofactor (electron carrier) for flavoprotein, which includes succinate dehydrogenase (complex) α- Ketoglutarate dehydrogenase, apoptosis inducing factor 2 (AIChemicalbookF-M2, AMID), folate/FAD dependent tRNA methyltransferase, and N-hydroxyflavoprotein monooxygenase. FAD is a component of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. It is mainly used to prepare emulsifier for catalytic polymerization of styrene butadiene rubber and other high polymer lotion.
