Application and Effect
Octacosanol is developed from wheat germ, sugar cane, or vegetable waxes.A 28-carbon primary fatty alcohol commonly found in the epicuticular waxes of plants. It has shown protective effects against parkonsonism and due to its excellent tolerability and non-toxicity, octacosanol may be a promising agent for PD treatment.1-Octacosanol (1-octacosanol) is a saturated mono alcohol commonly found in the leaves of plants, such as eucalyptus leaves, feed grasses and grains and cereals, acacia, clover, pea and other legumes, and is sometimes the main component of wax. Octacosanol is also present in wheat germ. Octacosanols are insoluble in water and soluble in lower alkanes and chloroform.Product Sample
